I’ll be the first in my family to earn a college degree, which’s something I hold very close to my heart.
My family members and I moved to the USA in 2014 We picked Memphis as our second home to begin fresh and construct a better future.
When I finished secondary school in 2020, I chose to sign up with the Army Reserve so I can work full-time to help support my family economically. Along the way, my parents constantly advised me of the relevance of a college level. Honestly, I fought with the choice between choosing work over college.
That changed when I uncovered the University of Memphis Global (UofM Global) where I could make my level 100 % online from a recognized, across the country acknowledged Carnegie R 1 college. The versatility of the program made it feasible to balance work, life, and education and learning. As soon as I enlisted, I understood I made the appropriate option.
As an online pupil, I remained included with school life via profession fairs and signing up with trainee companies like the Society of Human Resource Administration. I wanted to get one of the most out of my university experience and get in touch with people who shared my interest for HR.
Last November, I deployed to Kuwait, with a month left of autumn term. Thanks to the assistance and structure of UofM Worldwide, I was able to finish solid, also making the Dean’s List. I’m taking 4 courses while offering on active service, and I’m pleased to state I’ll be graduating in May.
Being able to offer my nation, sustain my family, and make my level indicates the world to me. I feel all set to take on whatever follows.
